Your "Carbon Legacy"

I came across this article that I think all should read it may wake many up to the truth about carbon emissions. Is this what we want??
Honestly This is the biggest Hoax going. Didnt we all learn at school CO2 was good for vegetation? We also learnt that plants need it to grow and construct their tissues. So would the extra CO2 projected to be in the air by the end of the century actually be beneficial for the planet's vegetation?
If people keep supporting this rubbish the following article will show you where we will end up if wee keep believing in this hoax, yes Hoax its like War of the Worlds all over again starting panic over nothing But false information.

Your "Carbon Legacy"
Volume 12, Number 11: 18 March 2009

Politicians who bow to the demands of the world's climate alarmists have long sought various means of reducing anthropogenic CO2 emissions. To date, the measures they have proposed have been rather mundane, focusing primarily on reducing emissions associated with one's household activities and transportation habits. For example, we have been encouraged to replace our incandescent light bulbs with more energy efficient ones. We've also been asked to participate in municipal recycling programs, to drive less, to car pool or to utilize public transportation. But the "rules of the road" will soon be become much more stringent, and you and I may be asked - if not mandated by law - to make an unprecedented lifestyle change that could dramatically curtail one of our most cherished personal freedoms, all in the name of "saving the planet."
Writing for the scientific journal Global Environmental Change, two academics at Oregon State University - Paul Murtaugh and Michael Schlax - identify this lifestyle change in a paper entitled "Reproduction and the Carbon Legacies of Individuals." In this treatise they attempt to quantify, in their words, "the carbon legacy of an individual," and to examine "how it is affected by the individual's reproductive choices," based on the premise that "a person is responsible for the carbon emissions of his descendants, weighted by their relatedness to him." So what did they find?
The two researchers calculated that a woman in the United States would reduce her lifetime CO2emissions by about 486 tons if she implemented the green-approved household and transportation activities mentioned previously. But they estimate that if she were to have just one child, that child, over its lifetime, would eventually release nearly 20 timemore CO2 to the atmosphere than the reductions achieved by its mother via her more mundane green activities.
In light of these calculations, Murtaugh and Schlax conclude that "the potential savings from reduced reproduction are huge compared to the savings that can be achieved by changes in lifestyle," adding that "enormous [our italics] future benefits can be gained by immediate changes [our italics] in reproductive behavior," and, therefore, that "an individual's reproductive choices can have a dramatic effect on the total carbon emissions ultimately attributable to his or her genetic lineage."
We can only hope, in this regard, that everyone's future reproductive behavior will continue to be a matter of choice. But in light of the supposedly "enormous" CO2-related "benefits" of curtailing child-bearing - especially in the United States - no one can assume that such will continue to be the case, especially in light of the claims of climate alarmists such as Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barack Obama, who consider CO2-induced global warming to be the greatest threat to the survival of civilization ever to be encountered. Faced with such a unique and unparalleled threat, we could well awake one morning and find ourselves with no choice in the matter, mandated by law to only procreate to the extent deemed ecologically appropriate by those enlightened few who somehow simply "know" what is best for the biosphere.
It may seem unthinkable today that our government - of the people, by the people and for the people - would ever assume the power to tell us how many children we can and cannot have. But much has happened in the past few months that truly was unthinkable, and only a single year ago. And if it's happened before, it can happen again; for in times of crisis - either real, as in the current economic crisis, or imagined, as in Al Gore's climate crisis - normally-rational people can do some wildly-irrational things. We must, therefore, maintain the eternal vigilance that is needed to preserve our God-given rights that no one has the authority to rescind. Stand up with us and demand that your elected officials carefully scrutinize both sides of the CO2-climate debate and think for themselves. We need thoughtful men and women of integrity to guide our nation, not mindless lemmings.

Carbon Tax Cant be Justified

Carbon Tax... I have sat here for quite a while trying to work out how this would be a help to our great nation? Well guess what I cant find one. Every angle I have looked at it there is NO positive impact it could have.

Now on the other side of the coin who would this impact on mostly?... simple answer.. Every man woman and child. Having a carbon tax will change things, Prices will rise, jobs will be lost, unemployment will rise, and as production falls the economy will slow is this what we really want?

It is a scientific FACT CO2 is not causing our climate to change dramatically and the changes are actually minimal but helpful. There is a great site CO2 science that has a great article on this very subject and they say this..

   What it means
As ever more anthropogenic CO2 is emitted into the atmosphere and the air's CO2 concentration rises ever higher, so too does the photosynthetic prowess of earth's terrestrial vegetation grow ever stronger, as the great global greening of the earth gains ever more momentum and sucks ever more CO2 out of the air and incorporates it into living biomass and soil organic matter, thereby muting the rate of global warming that would otherwise prevail in the absence of this important negative feedback phenomenon.

Well can someone tell me how that is bad?? I cant see it! If anything it is helpful. take a look at this...

Global warming benefits:  Global food production has increased as a result of rising atmospheric CO2 levels and global warming.  Several studies show that another 1⁰C of warming would result in a 2% increase in GDP.  Warm periods are significantly better than cold periods for human health, growth, longevity and prosperity.  Famine and disease plagued Europe during that preindustrial Little Ice Age, several degrees colder than the Holocene maximum and significantly cooler than the Roman and medieval warm periods. Despite global warming from 1916 to 1937, malaria mortality in the Mississippi declined four-fold as incomes increased. Mortality from tuberculosis and typhoid also declined dramatically. Dengue is likewise related more to living standards and public health measures than to climate.

Professor Hughes said.. "Claims by politicians and lobbyists that green energy policies will create a few thousand jobs are not supported by the evidence. In terms of the labour market, the gains for a small number of actual or potential employees in businesses specialising in renewable energy has to be weighed against the dismal prospects for a much larger group of workers producing tradable goods in the rest of the manufacturing sector,"

So how can a Carbon Tax be justified??  I think its wrong and it will have a dramatic effect in a direction we as a people dont want to go. We would all love a strong economy, low unemployment, job creation but that wont happen with the introduction of a Carbon Tax.

The Government of today needs to stop and think and get it right now before its too late.

Gillard or Rudd???

Once again the infighting in the Labour party has hit the news again, and from where I stand it is not a good look.

Who would be the best person to lead the party into the next election??
Well it appears with Julia Gillards popularity dropping and Kevin Rudd's on the increase the answer is clear.

Now Gillard's supporters claim the deal with the independents could collapse if there was a change. Well lets look at that, it didnt collapse with the change to Gillard, and they supported Rudd when he led the party through the last election. Doesn't it stand to reason they would still support Rudd??

Right now the Labour party is in crisis and unless they do something they will loose the next election. I am not stating here what i would like to see happen but what the majority of people think.  One MP likened it to being on the Titanic as it steams towards the iceberg. Another said if a horse cant win after 12 months stop backing it.

With the labour party dropping to 27% of the primary vote, it may be time to put it to a party vote to settle this once and for all. The bad press does no one any good it takes away from the bigger picture. As for the independents how long do you stay aboard a sinking ship?? Only the party can decide who they want to lead them to the next election.

So its time. Let the party decide so we can put this to rest and get on with things, and get the real issues back into the news and not this continual infighting.

OMG!!! Where is the Talent??

Well to say Im shocked is an understatement, today I looked at some videos of some Drag Queens. I cant believe people pay to watch this for want of a better word crap!!, yes I said crap. Where is the talent?? the stage presence?? The illusion??

For the most part I could not watch these clips all the way through.  One so called performance in particular by Ali Holic1 who halfway through the performance did a semi strip, I mean good lord it was pathetic to watch, we know they are men but we dont need the illusion they are meant to portray shattered.

Bring back the days of true talent. The Days of Carlotta, Loco Minx, Regan Wilde, Zowie  Knox just to name a few. These performers were true performers they had a stage presence that kept you riveted, you left their performances feeling great because you had just watched a great show. The performers from that era had true talent unlike those I viewed today who I  would not pay to see. Im sure there are some with talent out there but those i watched today performing at a Adelaide venue have nothing

From the era of true talent watch these clips. This is what Drag is about and performed by in my opinon some of the best!!

West winning the war on terror: Howard

But the former PM, who took Australia into wars in Afghanistan and Iraq to combat terrorism, told AAP in an interview: "There have been no attacks on our mainland.
The West is winning the war on terrorism, former prime minister John Howard has declared.

Mr Howard's message for Australians on the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks is that "the terrorists have not succeeded".
Mr Howard acknowledged the tragedy of the 2002 Bali bombings, which claimed 88 Australian lives among the 202 killed
"Because of the efforts of our intelligence and security apparatus, and the inherent strength of the Australian way of life, we have prevented terrorists carrying out any attacks here.
"We have to remain vigilant. We have to put up with the inconveniences.
"But it's worth it because they haven't won, and the way of life we treasure is still intact."
Mr Howard, who was in Washington on the day New York's twin towers were hit and the Pentagon was attacked, said the West had contained terrorism and made "very significant" inroads into the effective leadership of al-Qaeda.
The killing of Osama bin Laden earlier this year was a significant psychological blow, even though it had not ended the terrorist movement.
Mr Howard said he was not surprised by surveys conducted by the US Studies Centre in Sydney showing both Australians and Americans were sick and tired after a decade of war.
"Every war that goes on for a long time becomes unpopular," he said.
"That's been the experience of mankind through all recorded history. There's nothing strange about that.
"But it's a long war. It's a bit like the cold war, which went on for decades and we didn't have nuclear annihilation.
"This may go on for many years but in the end we will deny the terrorists their aim to establish a radical form of Islam in many parts of the world that don't want it."

My Thoughts

For the most part I have to agree with Mr Howard on this. We would all love to see this come to an end.For those of us that have family over there we would love nothing more than for them to come home.

What if they did come home?
I think if we pull out now these terrorists win, they will regroup and we will be facing more attacks.
Sure they killed Osama Bin Laden, but his place was filled, and it will continue till they either stop or troops have killed them all.

For now all we can do is support all troops over there, We owe them our freedom because if it wasnt for them how many more attacks would we have had and how many more innocent lives would we have lost.
This conflict will not be over anytime soon. So until it is lets at lest support our troops and respect the job they do protecting us.

9/11 My Disgust

I was reading speech by Mayor Bloomberg
Mayor Bloomberg Delivers Major Address on the Rebirth of Lower Manhattan Since 9/11
I read this bit as saw red.....

“This Sunday, on the 10th anniversary of the attacks on America, each of us will reflect on where we were, what we were doing, who we were with, and most of all, who we lost: husbands and wives, parents and children, friends and colleagues, people we loved deeply and people we knew just casually, people whose stories we knew only from the news, people who gave their lives to save complete strangers.

Mayer Bloomberg, How can you stand up and say that when you totally disrespected each and every one of those you mentioned. The first responders... NOT invited.... Clergy.... NOT Invited....Yet you invite investors and say the first responders will have their own memorial at a different time and place. You have made this memorial all about money. shame on you, this could have been done at another time. You have basically turned a memorial for almost 3000 people into a fundraiser. How Dare you Trade off their memory.

One construction worker told 1010 WINS that he believes they should be invited this year.
"I think that they should be allowed to go because too many of their brothers and sisters lost their lives and they should be the first ones that are included," he said. "They should make it happen. I'm sure there are going to be a lot of people here who shouldn't be here."

Former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani urged Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Thursday to reconsider his decision to bar religious leaders from speaking at the ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
“If I were the mayor, and this came up, I’d have a religious presence there,” said Mr. Giuliani during an interview with The Wall Street Journal.
“I think [Mr. Bloomberg] has a right to make the decision and say, ‘We’re going to do it exactly the same as we did it in the past,’”
So why cant it be done Mayor Bloomfield? I think many are asking the same Question, you still have time to make this right.  Is making investors happy more important than those who are to be remembered?  To say Im outraged and disgusted would be an understatement. There are no words that can describe how i feel.

Hello!!

So I call it as i see it at the time, you may not like what I have to say, but I didnt get to be a bitch for being nice and sugar coating my thoughts.

If your looking for fun and giggles i suggest you view my other blog, Spot of Fun with a dash of Serious. This Blog will be my thoughts on topics Take what you like from it and leave the rest is my best advice. I wont just cover Aussie topics I will cover international topics as well.

Well there you have it. Thats me Hopefully my blogs will interest you. I will leave you now with this thought...
